Of course Olympic athletes know how to have fun. Just ask Goldie Sayers who’s posing here as a Playboy bunny. Goldie is Britain’s top javelin thrower and will compete in her second Olympics when the Beijing Games open.

Expect Americans to cry foul if their competitors, in this case Chinese gymnasts, turn out to be under-aged. Why are there age limits anyway? If British diver Tom Daley can compete at age 14 [with Western media cheering him on], why can’t the Chinese gymnasts — who may or may not be of the same age as Tom — compete in the Olympics as well?

Here’s the list of triathletes expected to compete in Beijing. Note that they’re listed here according to their start number as determined in a random draw by the International Triathlon Union.

How much money do Olympians make? It depends on a lot of variables: whether they come from rich countries or poor ones, whether they won medals during the Games, whether they compete in the popular sports events, and many other factors.
Anyways, I’ve been blogging about this question for sometime now and I think it’s a good idea to put together the separate posts I’ve made into a single one. This way, those of you who are googling “How much money do Olympians make” will see the bigger picture without needing to go through all the previous entries.
